8.19 "Taxi Driver"

Wow. What an amazing episode. Despite all of the sad and distressing things that happened, it was very well done.

Firstly I want to talk about my theory being shot to hell that Naomi wasn't an angel because they finally decided to add wing flutters to her departure. Naomi is a really complex character. I have absolutely no clue where her arc is going so I'm excited to see how that plays out and if she will die in the season finale. The fact that she saved Bobby's soul is really convenient, but I could tell that it was barely a blip on her radar. She was obviously trying to piss off Crowley, she had no good intentions.

Bobby being in hell actually pretty sad, especially knowing that his hell was watching the boys become demons over and over. I was almost confused as to how hell looked because I distinctly remember it not looking that way when Dean was under, but I realized that as of some time in season six it's been under new management. It was interesting to think about what all of those people did to get into hell, my guess is that most of them made deals. Though I was glad to have Bobby back even for a little while, they could have taken the story someplace different and we never would have known. We didn't see Bobby go to hell so the writers could have just as easily placed him in heaven. There were others that we actually knew went to hell like Adam or Bela. Adam would have been the most logical choice but that might have been difficult as well because he isn't just in hell, he's in Lucifers cage.

Even though I was sad to see him go(because he was honestly my favorite addition this season), I really liked the way they sent Benny off. They left it open for whenever he wanted to come back and I really didn't want him to have a one season story arc. I was always afraid that he would fall off the rails and Dean would have to kill him. But in a way I guess that is what happened: It was unspoken but when Benny said he didn't belong, I saw guilt like maybe he did kill someone. The scene between Benny and Dean really stole the episode for me. Jensen and Ty did a really good job portraying brothers in arms that are about to part ways. Benny really was an amazing friend to Dean. I hate the fact that Sam finally stopped being a douche to him at  the very end. And I  will admit that Bobby was making me a little impatient when Sam had to explain to him that Benny was a friend. Like do you realize he's helping you save your soul from an eternity of damnation and all you can cough up is bitter resentment? That was just one thing that irked me and maybe it was supposed to.

I was lovin the brotherly..ness(?) at the end. It's a large contrast to the conflict that they were having at the beginning. I am reeeeeaaally excited to see what happens to Sam at the end of the trials. If he dies (again) I won't even be surprised I tell ya hwhat.

I am also quite looking forward to the next episode because freakin Charlie Bradbury is back and Dean is in uniform lookin straight up BA. They're acting out a videogame, Charlie's back, Dean is in a soldier getup, and Sam...is knocked out in a hospital bed...again. Hopefully he's gonna get up and have his time to shine too.

That's it let me know what you thought of "Taxi Driver" and if you have the same opinion or different opinions on anything and comment you know...in the comment section I suppose. I never know how to end these things. It's like the conclusion to an essay at school. Okay, I'm just gonna stop typing.
