30 years ago today, Sam Winchester was fictitiously born. Since then he has stolen our hearts with his compassion for saving people, his spontaneous sass, and his puppy eyes, his ability to create an amazing sturgeon face, and he has, just as his brother, been a slight obsession of many fans. We've watched him grow from a mop-headed youngster with hope in his eyes to an equally mop-headed monster truck of a man who has the same hopes but an added air of wisdom. Sure, Sam's life may be cursed with tragedy. Sure he has made some mistakes in places down the long road he and Dean travel together, mistakes that have even made others think of him as the lesser character. But those countless fans who stayed behind him will be there until the very end. Because Sam Winchester, real or not, is someone worth believing in. So Happy Birthday, Sam Winchester!!!
