Here I am again. Again I'm late. I'm really sucking butt lately.
This episode was good, but I'm not gonna say it was one of my favorites. It honestly seemed really short. Like when it ended I was like "......wait...what?"
With any TV show, when people who were saved in previous epsiodes die, it upsets me. The fact that Sarah was killed really bothered me not just on a level of "oh, why did she have to die?" more like "she really didn't have do die."
In my mind she was always the one that got away. She was the one that Sam might eventually end up with. But not only did they give her a husband and daughter, but they freaking killed her off. Can't they let anyone live? Like first Meg and now her? On some level I guess the writers needed a way to push Sam over the edge but seriously, that upset me.
Speaking of Meg, why in holy freaking donkey hell haven't they mentioned the fact that she's dead like at all? I was sure that maybe Crowley would have mentioned it to Cas last episode to get in his head but nope. And that's just disrespectful honestly. I mean the chick was the longest living character besides the boys-and technically the longest living character period because they've died many times- and she doesn't even get a second mention. Cas still doesn't even know and if they don't tell him in the season finale, there is no measure to how angry and unsatisfied I will be.
Bringing Abbadon back was a bad idea, I knew it from the friggin preview that that was a bad idea. It was a terrible idea. Someone as high class and scary as balls like Abbadon should not be brought back no matter how much you think you've got it under control. You'd think after 8 years these boys would learn. One thing I did love was how horrified Abbadon was when she found out that Crowley, "the salesmen" was now King of Hell. It was honestly priceless.
Everyone was wondering how Dean could be such a douche to Cas. I know it's hard to see because Cas is adorable and yeah he's sorry. But Cas has done so much shady crap and most of the time he's done it he wasn't under the influence of demon blood or possessed. He does however get a pass for being controlled by Naomi. But fans need to stop dismissing Dean's general pissed-offness for being petty or this being some little "lover's tiff because Cas ignoring him hurt his feelings"(I hate it when people say that). The whole point is, Dean has enough to worry about with closing the gates of hell, taking care of Sam, and taking care of Kevin. He doesn't need to have to worry over whether or not he can trust Cas. And most of the time it's hard to tell anymore who Cas is fighting for even if he wants to do the right thing.
So my new prediction is that by the end of the season, Sam will be stuck in hell(again), Castiel will be stuck in heaven, and Dean will be alone on earth (maybe with Garth if they bring him back) just like Sam was at the end of last season, because the writer love parallels *cough* "Goodbye Stranger"*cough*.
Alrighty! Again if I've forgotten something feel free to comment on it. I'll try to get a post in as soon as I can after the finale tonight but my computer is being a doop. I don't know if I'll be able to handle the recap. I've never actually seen them live. So leave your comments and tell me what you're excited about what you don't like and what you do about the and this episode and I'll get back with y'all after the finale. Adios!

8.21 " The Great Escapist"
Sorry this is uuuuuubbber late. I had so much to do. Okay so I thought this episode was pretty good.
So as it turns out, Kevin did get taken by Crowley. Or at least I think he did. I'm still a bit fuzzy on that. I could tell from the start that it wasn't the real Dean and Sam when they came in, it just didn't make sense. Sam looked too healthy, he was saying too many strange Dean-like quips, and they were both too happy. I thought maybe they were Leviathan or demons. But then that rose the question as to why they weren't affected by the holy water. Well, if anyone's wondering, I'm pretty sure Crowley replaced it with regular water.
The scene where Sam and Dean find Kevin's message was pretty deep. It was actually cool to see that the boys have such an emotional connection to Kevin, rather than just an obligation to keep him alive for the sake of their mission. And something that Dean said makes me wonder: why didn't they take Kevin to the batcave.
I like the fact that they went more into Cas's story line in previous centuries, saying that he never completely did what he was told. It makes me wonder if this was the first time he has fully commited himself to helping humans, or a select few. Judging from the way he behaved in the beginning of season 4, I think it may be the first time he has befriended humans at least. But it is possible that this could have happened previously and angels like Naomi made him forget. Speaking of Naomi, the way she finally caught Castiel was just cruel, and it brings us right back to the "angels are dicks" scenario. In a way, angels are worse than demons in this show. At least the demons have a reason to be douchebags; they've been burnin in hell for half an eternity. Angels have no excuse.
I'm gettin really excited about the new weapon choices this season. First Dean's cool machete thing in Purgatory, then the devil's trap carved into the bullet, then the angel blade melted into bullets. It makes me wonder why they havn't come up with these things sooner. Remember the days when angel blades only belonged to angels? Now every rancher and his duck has one of those puppies. Are angels really that easy to kill?
Metatron was kind of a dumbass I'm not gonna lie. He was just sitting around for ceeenttturrieesss reading friggin Jane Eyre and he didn't even bother to look and check the current events. Sam and Dean had a right to be pissed. He missed the freaking apocolypse. I mean that's really effed up.
That's all I got for this week. I probably had more but I can't remember. See ya in a bit.

Happy Birthday, Sam Winchester!
30 years ago today, Sam Winchester was fictitiously born. Since then he has stolen our hearts with his compassion for saving people, his spontaneous sass, and his puppy eyes, his ability to create an amazing sturgeon face, and he has, just as his brother, been a slight obsession of many fans. We've watched him grow from a mop-headed youngster with hope in his eyes to an equally mop-headed monster truck of a man who has the same hopes but an added air of wisdom. Sure, Sam's life may be cursed with tragedy. Sure he has made some mistakes in places down the long road he and Dean travel together, mistakes that have even made others think of him as the lesser character. But those countless fans who stayed behind him will be there until the very end. Because Sam Winchester, real or not, is someone worth believing in. So Happy Birthday, Sam Winchester!!!

8.20 "Pac-Man Fever"
I thought this was a pretty good episode.
I was very excited to see Charlie return. It was cool to see the way her relationship with the boys has grown. So far it doesn't seem like the writers are too keen on killing her off. I'm glad they gave her more back story in this episode; I think it means that they're gonna put her in more episodes.
Sam's health is really taking a hard left. I'm actually starting to think that he'll die again by the time this season is over. I know that there is going to be some kind of extreme change. I really am wondering how the finale will be if next week he has already fainted.
There isn't much to say about this episode in corolation with the story line. By that I mean the main goal of the season wasn't really the plot of this episode, but they kept the continuity so that it was still mentioned. I think it's good that the writers can put episodes in the season that still carry on the story without actually putting anymore weight on the rising action. It would be overwhelming if they only made episodes that continued the heaviness and drama of another emotionally heavy episode. I really enjoyed all of the comedic beats in this episode. The montage sequence was a nice touch. I actually forgot about the Carver Edlund books. If I were the boys I would have beat the holy hell out of Chuck for those but of course, Chuck has disappeared on mysterious terms. One thing that kind of bothered me: It seemed as though Charlie was only thanking Dean for saving the world when while Dean helped, Sam is the one who sacrificed his life and his soul.
Being someone who has recently been playing a lot of the zombie version of COD, I saw that the scene with Dean and Charlie was reminiscent of that game or some other army game that has zombies in it. Those games are addicting but they totally give me the skeeves. Giving my female opinion real quick: Dean in a uniform was not acid to the eyes. Anywhoo, the enigma that is Charlie Bradbury is slowly starting to unravel itself. I kind of want to see more back story in the episodes to come. Maybe she could be their resident hacker-that would be pretty awesome actually.
This is unrelated but I'm getting tired of all of the ratbutt excuses for why Garth isn't on screen. Why don't they just bring him on? Garth is friggin awesome!
Something else that bothers me is the fact that Sam never has a special bond with a guest star or recurring character. I feel like I've said this before. Every time there is a character that the boys befriend, they always bond more with Dean: Charlie, Krissy, Cas, Garth. I think one exception is Jody Mills who they seriously need to bring back. I actually want to see more Sam and Cas bonding as well because Cas has frequently called Sam his friend and I want to see more of their dynamic. And I'm not gonna lie, it would be cool if there was a scene where Dean walked in on Sam and Krissy rockin' out to Taylor Swift like this:
So that was my piece. I think I had more to say but I'm so scatter brained that I forgot. Oh, this season Dean has been huggin like it's his job. And this was the first hug that he and Sam have shared that wasn't directly related to one of their deaths or suspicions of the other being dead, what a monumental moment*sniff*. I'm quite thrilled for the next episodes, I wanna see what has happened to Sam, I wanna see what Kevin Tran's stupid self has done. OH! Most of all: Cas is back and I reeeeeeaaaaalllyy want to see if the boys will tell him about Meg and if he will react with the fit of rage that I am hoping for. Alrighty then, G'bye!

8.19 "Taxi Driver"
Wow. What an amazing episode. Despite all of the sad and distressing things that happened, it was very well done.
Firstly I want to talk about my theory being shot to hell that Naomi wasn't an angel because they finally decided to add wing flutters to her departure. Naomi is a really complex character. I have absolutely no clue where her arc is going so I'm excited to see how that plays out and if she will die in the season finale. The fact that she saved Bobby's soul is really convenient, but I could tell that it was barely a blip on her radar. She was obviously trying to piss off Crowley, she had no good intentions.
Bobby being in hell actually pretty sad, especially knowing that his hell was watching the boys become demons over and over. I was almost confused as to how hell looked because I distinctly remember it not looking that way when Dean was under, but I realized that as of some time in season six it's been under new management. It was interesting to think about what all of those people did to get into hell, my guess is that most of them made deals. Though I was glad to have Bobby back even for a little while, they could have taken the story someplace different and we never would have known. We didn't see Bobby go to hell so the writers could have just as easily placed him in heaven. There were others that we actually knew went to hell like Adam or Bela. Adam would have been the most logical choice but that might have been difficult as well because he isn't just in hell, he's in Lucifers cage.
Even though I was sad to see him go(because he was honestly my favorite addition this season), I really liked the way they sent Benny off. They left it open for whenever he wanted to come back and I really didn't want him to have a one season story arc. I was always afraid that he would fall off the rails and Dean would have to kill him. But in a way I guess that is what happened: It was unspoken but when Benny said he didn't belong, I saw guilt like maybe he did kill someone. The scene between Benny and Dean really stole the episode for me. Jensen and Ty did a really good job portraying brothers in arms that are about to part ways. Benny really was an amazing friend to Dean. I hate the fact that Sam finally stopped being a douche to him at the very end. And I will admit that Bobby was making me a little impatient when Sam had to explain to him that Benny was a friend. Like do you realize he's helping you save your soul from an eternity of damnation and all you can cough up is bitter resentment? That was just one thing that irked me and maybe it was supposed to.
I was lovin the brotherly..ness(?) at the end. It's a large contrast to the conflict that they were having at the beginning. I am reeeeeaaally excited to see what happens to Sam at the end of the trials. If he dies (again) I won't even be surprised I tell ya hwhat.
I am also quite looking forward to the next episode because freakin Charlie Bradbury is back and Dean is in uniform lookin straight up BA. They're acting out a videogame, Charlie's back, Dean is in a soldier getup, and Sam...is knocked out in a hospital bed...again. Hopefully he's gonna get up and have his time to shine too.
That's it let me know what you thought of "Taxi Driver" and if you have the same opinion or different opinions on anything and comment you know...in the comment section I suppose. I never know how to end these things. It's like the conclusion to an essay at school. Okay, I'm just gonna stop typing.

8.18 "Freaks and Geeks"
I really dug this episode.
What I like about episodes like this one or "Ghostfacers", "Bitten", or even "Jus in Bello" is when the boys' lives are looked at from the perspective of outside characters. It makes them look like such cool cats.
I especially like the part where Dean basically took that kid Aidan to church when he thought he was bluffing. That was a personal favorite of mine.
I'm glad that Krissy came back into the story. It think they are going to start bringing her into the story line more and more. I like the way she challenges Dean but I think I'd also like to see her do more scenes with Sam. Sam never really gets to have a special bond with recurring characters, its mostly Dean. So I'd like to see maybe a teenager or a girl or maybe even a character that has already been there like Charlie or Garth bonding with Sam.
The idea of children becoming hunters in a X-Men type way( I know Krissy said that they werean't like the X-Men but come on) really had me straddling the fence on the issue. I mean, sure a lot of people hate John because of the way he raised the boys but like I said, it's not like he had a choice. We have to remember he was a human being who was stricken with grief and rage. The guy Victor before you found out he was a dick seemed to be going about it the same way John did except without the bloodlust clouding his vision. It almost seemed like a good idea other than the fact that they were kids and if it hadn't been for Victor they wouldn't have been thrust into that life. If we were in that kind of world, you have to wonder how you would handle the situation. I think I would keep a knowledge of the supernatural and the tools to deal with it but I wouldn't really get involved. But like I said, John didn't really have that much of a choice.
Victor was an all around doucheapalooza in the end. It was one of those times where I couldn't tell that it was going to end how it did, but I knew he played a part in the final battle on the opposing side. I actually didn't see it coming that he had had the kids' parents killed. That was a pretty good twist. I commend Krissy on her ability to just let him go even if he did end up offing himself. I can say that I probably wouldn't be able to just forget like that especially if he tricked me into killing innocent people. That's another thing, more experienced and competent hunters (like Sam and Dean) wouldn't have missed the fact that it was fairly obvious even as an audience member that the vamps they were killing had no clue what was going on. If you caught a vampire and told them that they killed your family, most likely they would gloat not say, "what are you saying". So I think in the end even though those kids had their fancy dart guns and what not, Sam and Dean were trained a little bit better because they have always had better instincts than that.
I'm uber excited about tomorrow's episode. It seems quite important. I saw a sneak peak and Bobby may either return or make some kind of guest appearance. Honestly when I heard that Sam had to save an innocent soul from hell, my first thought was Adam because he's still friggin there and it is pissing me off that they have made no move to save him. But then Bobby had to go and get himself thrown in hell because Crowley doesn't like him. Which reminds me of one last thing, Crowley needs to freakin die. Just sayin'.
So that's what I thought about the episode. Sorry this is so late. I wanna know what you guys thought so you can comment with your thoughts. Do you think it's a good idea to raise kids as hunters or even raise them with the knowledge of the supernatural (in the show, obviously not real life)?

8.17 "Goodbye Stranger"
This was a very good episode even if it made me feel like crap after watching it.
Okay let's start with the good stuff.
I was really excited about Meg coming back. I really wanted to see what the dynamic with Cas would be like in light of things that happened previously (ex: the pizza man and the back end of season 7). I really enjoyed their chemistry and I must admit the fangirl in me ships Megstiel.
I'm glad that Dean was finally starting to find out about Sam struggling with the trials. What Cas said about Sam's health makes me wonder what state he will be in by the season finale. I'm also anxious to see what the next trial will be since the end of the season is coming up in only a matter of weeks. Speaking of the trials, I have come up with a theory:
Kevin Tran may not survive this story line. I mean, I'm not saying it's a done deal, but I've been thinking that it's a road we have a slight chance of going down. When you think about it, the show is set to go on for two more seasons at least. The writers rarely keep an arch going for more than a season and if the boys close the gates of hell, we just lost some major antagonists. There has to be a reason that they are unable to complete this task and if Kevin dies, they won't be able to close the gates. I don't know it seems like a small possibility but a possibility none the less.
I enjoyed many of the comedic beats as well as the scene between Cas and Meg that sort of brings everything full circle. I had a feeling that Meg would not survive but it didn't make it any less tragic in my eyes. Sure, she killed Ellen and Jo, but I think she redeemed herself a little with helping the boys. I just love (dripping with sarcasm) the fact that people can talk about how they hate Meg because she is evil and they don't see how people love her just because she is witty when they talk about how Satan and Crowley are their favorite characters. That actually just blows my mind. The arch for Meg was very well written, the fact that she was starting to turn good a little bit and a lot of it was for Cas. I think it was like a yin yang thing when you think about it, like them meeting in the middle. The way she died kind of pissed me off. I mean she is the only women-scratch that-the only character at all to make it all eight seasons and all she gets from her death is a short pan away? Come on. But for any Meg lovers there is hope. I'm pretty sure that when demons die they go to Purgatory so there could be a slight chance of Cas saving her. Speaking of Cas, I'm excited to see what his reaction will be to her death whether it be anger or sadness. I will say that her death was an honorable one. She died for a cause and she didn't care that they were going to close the gates of hell as long as Crowley was killed. She also died protecting Castiel which was how Rachel Miner (the actress who plays Meg) wanted her to die.
I was so happy (fist bump to the sky happy) that Castiel broke Naomi's hold. It was a very close parallel to the season 5 finale with Sam/Lucifer. I think that was done to tie into the fact that Cas has know Dean and Sam for years and he has become like a brother to them, to Dean especially. I love the fact that Dean says, "we need you. I need you" because I think it shows that Dean may seem strong but he isn't nearly as strong as he lets on or as he used to be. It's obvious that he probably wouldn't take it well if he lost someone else he cared about or if he was betrayed by someone he cared about.
So I'm pretty curious about what is going on between Naomi and Crowley. Apparently they had a thing and they could be partially working together. I knew from the start that Naomi wasn't good.
So next week's episode, Krissy is coming back. I actually really liked her as a character and I liked her and Dean's dynamic. The fact that they named the episode after a show that I really enjoyed made me pretty happy.
I have to say it :R.I.P. Meg Masters.
