Overall it was a satisfying episode. Satisfying meaning I missed the show and was glad to see a new episode. It was unsatisfying because there are SO many unanswered questions. We still don't know what Naomi is doing because right before it was explained friggin' killed Samandriel. I mean really what the hell? I hope they kill her or something, because she is getting on my last nerve. One does not simply perform mind control on Cas. They better kill her good. Like Zacha-freakin-riah, his death was nice. Samandriel's death was pretty depressing, but I had a strange feeling he wouldn't make it past this episode.
The Angel Tablet: WHAT!?What!? Didn't see it coming at all. I hope you all know what this could mean. All the angels-including Cas-could be sealed in heaven forever or worse, massacred. Now we all know that most of the angels suck ( Uriel, Michael, Naomi, Zacha-friggin-riah), but Castiel could be killed. Castiel might not make it past season 8, you guys. Just take a second to think about that, let it marinate a bit.
I hated the fact that Dean had to sever ties with Benny. I honestly think he was right on the matter of Benny being good. I liked Benny: His accent (hello), his fighting style, the fact that he whistles when he kills monsters (if anyone else caught that part in one of the flashbacks). Benny was an all around Badass in my book. And Martin really did have it coming. I mean threatening his great granddaughter, really Martin? Come on man! I mean if you can't say anything else positive about vampires, they look out for their family, whether it's by blood or just the fact that you are in their clan (clan?). I think if Sam actually gave him a chance then things might have turned out differently. That's another thing. The relationship between the boys started off rocky right outta Purgatory and that is what put so many mistrusts between them. Dean was bitter because Sam didn't look for him (which he should have I mean come on, Sam!), and Sam was bitter cause Dean was bitter and he was replaced kinda, and that just shot everything all to hell. The thing about Benny is I feel like Dean was keeping him sober. And I don't think it'll be long til Benny kills someone, and Sam and Dean are gonna have to kill him, and I just friggin' hate that. I really liked Benny.
Sam and Amelia may actually have just ended for good. But maybe not, it could be like Dean and Lisa. What is going on with them? I don't know what to think of their relationship. I mean the woman is married but she thought he was dead and then he came back and Sam leaves but she still thinks of him? I mean what the hell, really? I don't think Sam should see her again because everybody know how that's gonna end, Amelia and Don will probably be dead. So far Crowley doesn't know about Amelia, so lets keep it that way. I always felt that if the boys were gonna get all romantic, they should get girls that know and understand the life, can defend themselves, and know that they can't be there all the time. A hunter maybe, I mean I'll always ship Dean and Jo no matter what anyone says.
I kinda liked the way the boys both sacrificed an important part of their lives for the sake of keeping to their relationship. We haven't seen regular Sam and Dean in almost a year: the bickering, the brotherly moments, manly misty eyes that Sam does so well. I'm pretty sure the whole fandom is rewatching episodes just to see that again. But I am glad that they weren't all like "Aww yeah we be buddiez agiyin,"they still looked a bit rocky, but at least you knew it was gonna get better.
Wow, this was pretty lengthy. Had more to say than I thought, I guess. Good ep, not one of my favorites but it was good.
*Loved the "your mom is hot" moment and Dean being embarrassed over bustyasianbeauties.
