8.12 "As Time Goes By"

Okay, So I really liked the episode even though we are right back to the sadness after the happy episode that we had last week.

High Point: Henry Winchester was not a dick. Low Point: He dies right after Dean finally realizes it. I'm not saying I didn't expect him to die because I totally did. I mean, he never made it back to John so where the hell did he go if he survived? It's still incredibly sad.

Let's take a sec to think on this: It is entirely possible that John Winchester had to believe his dad was a flake and an all around douche for everything to play out the way it did. That really makes me realize that he really drew the short stick. Everything that happened to him, everything bad was orchestrated in order for Sam and Dean to be born and basically everything that "destiny" intended. He was basically a sacrifice if you really think about it.

Jeez, Dean was really being a douche to Henry wasn't he? I mean, I guess I can see why because he was pretty close to John but damn. I loved his speech about John by the way. It really put things in perspective and he stated what I thought exactly, you know, except for the being a dick to Grampa part. I think it really broke their hearts/made them happy to get an idea of what John was like as a child. I feel like it was a little depressing to think that John wasn't always the man they lived with.

That demon, what a biatch to the max man. In the beginning I was like what the bleepin bleep is she? I kind of assumed that maybe in over fifty years, the demons got watered down and that's why she was so powerful. But man was she a bitch.

Devils trap on a bullet:Why hasn't anyone ever thought of that. They need to make more of those seriously.

"Its a supernatural motherload" really? Couldn't think of any other line? Not even gonna lie it was pretty corny.

"As long as there are Winchesters alive, there is hope."Well, shit. What a beautiful line I have to say. I think it cut a lot of people pretty deep. But it's not like they can have children. They are it. I think the saddest thing in the world is to die without someone to leave behind to live on, and you know once it's really end times, these boys are dyin together.

Dewy-Eyed Sammy is back I noticed. He hasn't been a puppy/moose it a minute (a New York Minute?[I'm sorry])
The Men of Letters. Classy, I love the story behind it because it is like Sam is the Men of Letters Child and Dean is the Hunter Child. It really came full circle in this episode you guys. Nicely done.

Just a sidebar, I flippin love that Dean checked out the punk chick. Don't know why but I love it.

I am so excited for next week's episode. Someone bigger than Sam, holy shit. Also anyone else notice the sweater-vest. I gotta chuckle, but he was kinda working the old timey novelist look. Dontcha think?

Well done episode, I believe.

So tonight's Episode...

I just wanted to take a second to talk about why I am excited for this episode. It all boils down to John. We haven't really had much back story him an I have really high hopes of what we will find out. We actually haven't heard the boys talk about him in quite a while. I saw a sneak preview and it seems that Dean gets kind of defensive of his father's memory. That is nice because every other time Dean seems to kind of loathe him. I also am really excited to see their reactions when they find out that Henry is their grandfather. Apparently, Henry left John when he was just a little boy as well so I'm excited to see how it all pans out.

So that's it. Not much to say except I am uber excited for the ep and I will post the review after I see it.

"Just Breathe" Sam and Dean

I made this because I realized that no one had ever made a SPN fanvid for this song. This is my very first fanvid. Just some clips of some brotherly moments between Sam and Dean. Enjoy!

John Winchester

Even though he was only in the first season, to me John Winchester was the saddest character in the show. He didn't just lose Mary the night of that fire, he lost the chance to give his sons normal lives. Many fans resent him for that but honestly once you know what's out there what are you supposed to do? He did the only thing he felt he could do and it saved their lives.

What really broke my heart was the scene where they finally find him. In "Shadow", you can tell he is really happy to see the boys but there's something else behind it and the way he greets them. He has a sort of sad smile, like he knows he isn't gonna live for much longer. He knew he was going to have to leave his boys all alone.

"...last time we were together we had one hell of a fight"
                                       "Yes sir."
"It's good to see you again. It's been a long time." -1.16 "Shadow"

Happy Birthday, Dean Winchester!

34 years ago today, Dean Winchester was fictionally kinda born. Since then, he has saved countless lives, and shown us what a true family man is. He has broken our hearts with his intense love for his brother and kept us coming back to watch that interaction. He has gained new friends, but lost many of them as well. He may have various flaws, but without his vices along with his strengths, he wouldn't be the character that we all love; from his obsessive nature and short temper, to his smart-alec comments and devil-may-care attitude. He has become someone worth watching, and let's admit it, obsessing a bit on. So let's take a minute to tip our hats and honor our Badass of the Day. Happy Birthday Dean!

8.11 "LARP and the Real Girl"

Great, great episode. I loved it.

I liked the episode placement, and I think that the writers and everyone behind the show does a really good job with that. The way they can have a really emotional and heavy episode one week and the next week it is really light to kind of lessen the blow, it really balances the show well.

Okay, let's just take a minute to talk about Charlie. Friggin' Charlie Bradbury is a magnificent creature and a bit of a playa I might add. I love her quirkiness and just the way she handles situations. I love that at the end of the episode she said that she would help the boys at anytime, which means that she will be coming back to  spew all dat awesomeness on everyone. I also love her relationship with the boys. As soon as she was introduced in "The Girl With The Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo," she and the brothers had instant chemistry. They just fell into a rhythm. And it pays off because you can tell in this episode especially that Dean and Sam care for her like a sister. Its really cool and a little strange to see a girl who is friends with the brothers who they don't want to have sex with and who the writers don't wanna kill off ( hope I didn't jinx it).

There were some excellent comedic beats in this episode. The little tidbits with Dean actually enjoying LARPing was priceless. I loved Dean's reaction to Charlie picking up chicks, like he was rooting for her or maybe he wanted tips (like he needs any). Anyone notice that Dean can't go to a LARPing gig without whippin' out his gun on innocent people? It's pretty hysterical when you think about it.

I'm glad that they didn't just do comedy, like they still had us keep in mind that both of the boys gave something up in the last episode. I think that was really important. You can also see that Sam and Dean are really getting back into their old grove which is something the we have not seen in a helluva long time. That being said, the ending was really nice because it was like old Sam was coming back, which-pardom me- makes me kinda glad that he broke it off with Amelia. Back to the ending though: It was like eating an awesome deli sandwich with that posh-ass grey poupon mustard. The beat with Charlie and Sam when Dean was giving his Braveheart speech (I knew it!) was gold. The Braveheart speech was gold. Dean wearing a wig and Sam with his hair tied back just made me fist pump the air just for the hell of it. The freeze frame at the end made me laugh like a crazy person and then I stopped and was like- dope.

I just loved it you guys. I can't wait to see the next episode. Maybe Pop Pop Winchester won't be a dick like  Pop Pop Campbell. Fingers crossed.

I also wanna give my respects to the cop at the beginning because that man had some of the best lines and man did he deliver. "These kids today with their texting and their murder"
